OUR ADOPTION PROGRAM handles all aspects of the adoption process from start to finish. We make every effort to accommodate the desires and expectations of the birth parents and the adoptive parents, and we ensure that all legal requirements are fulfilled in a professional and ethical manner. We encourage open and responsible communication between birth and adoptive parents when all parties are willing to have an "open" or "semi-open" adoption; however, we respect your privacy and we are able to obtain required information discreetly if you prefer to maintain strict confidentiality.
What choices do you have? There are many choices in adoption today. We are able to educate you about your options and help you make choices that are right for you.
Services available for all types of Adoption:
* Newborn Infants or Older Children
* Identified (pre-matched) or Independent Adoption
* Matching of Birth Family with compatible Adoptive Family
* "Open", "Semi-Open" and "Closed" Adoptions (this refers to the degree of contact and communication between the Birth Parents and the Adoptive Family)
* IntraState/Interstate Adoption
* Relative or Step-Parent Adoption
* Adult Adoption
* Referral for Homestudy/Post Placement Supervision Services
* Referral for Counseling
* Expenses for Birth Mother (as allowed by law)
*Finalization of Juvenile Court/Foster Care Adoptions
All our prospective adoptive families have been pre-screened and have active homestudies. A Homestudy is a written report completed by a licensed Social Worker approving child placement for an adoptive family. This report requires background screening by local and state law enforcement and by the state Department of Children and Families, and extensive investigation to ensure financial, physical and emotional stability of the adoptive family.
